The New Performance Management

The Challenge

The Director of Human Resources at a financial services firm wanted to ensure the organization was supporting all team members to perform, learn, and grow.

The Engagement

We started by assessing the firm’s existing performance management practices and developing a strategy for the work. Next, we devised a survey tool that, in conjunction with targeted leadership training, laid a foundation for self-reflection, goal-setting, and performance coaching throughout the organization.

The Result

The changes in performance management practices allowed for great discoveries into self and team awareness, and how coaching for growth can be used to increase engagement.

The sr4 Insight

We believe that performance feedback and future-focused coaching have to take place at separate times. A little training on why feedback matters and how to have a coaching mindset can go a long way in helping managers to create healthy climates for their teams.
